What your responsibilities look like:
- Companionship and engaging activities
- Various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s or patient’s needs
- Providing assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, bathing, basic hair grooming (i.e. as needed), meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
- Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes
- Assist with personal care and medication reminders
- Provide basic house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
- Escort client to appointments and errands as needed.
- Pet care as needed i.e., walking a pet
Some of our qualifications:
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Able to pass a drug test screening
- A warm heart and gentle touch!
- Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized.
- 2 references
- Minimum one (1) year of documented caregiver, home care assistance experience is required
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be registered with the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry
- Must be able to work weekends as needed
- Certified CPR (AHA and ARC ONLY)
- Physical and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile with proof of insurance
- Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

COVID-19 considerations:
COVID-19 vaccination and current applicable booster are required. Masks are required for all in-person care and/or visits.
